Wisdom Teeth removal
Wisdom teeth are the third set of molars in the far back of the gum line on both the upper and lower jaw. This set of teeth is the last of our permanent teeth to grow in. When wisdom teeth begin to erupt through the gum tissue, the tooth can press against existing teeth and cause pain, infection, and crowding. To avoid these issues, Dr. Pasternak recommends removing the teeth before the eruption occurs.
Overview of the procedure
During your initial consultation, Dr. Pasternak will review your x-rays or 3D images of the teeth, discuss the process, and decide on an anesthesia option for the day of your procedure. This is a good time to ask any questions or address any concerns you may have.
What does the procedure cost?
The cost of the procedure is different for each patient, which is why we schedule a consultation prior to the surgery. We will identify and disclose any possible costs before the procedure, and help you determine your insurance benefits.
Factors that affect the cost of the procedure:
The type of anesthesia used
Dental imaging and x-rays
The number of teeth removed
Level of impaction
